As our world becomes more and more connected through technological advances, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that learning another language is beneficial for many reasons— to advance your career, be able to communicate with more people, make traveling more enjoyable, and expand your cultural horizons. But what may not be as obvious are the cognitive benefits that take place when you are learning a foreign language, especially when you are under the age of 7.
Understanding language is one of the hardest things your brain does, making it the ultimate brain exercise. So learning a foreign language is one of the most effective and practical ways to increase intelligence, keep your mind sharp, and buffer your brain against aging. Chiqui is an abbreviation for chiquito/a, a Spanish term of endearment meaning "little kid"
Serving as a reference to the foundation of Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital which translates to “place of the cactus rock.” The cactus also forms one of the centerpieces of the present-day Mexican flag and continues to be used for food and medicine today. As it happens, the cactus is also native to California, the U.S. and all 22 Spanish speaking countries.
